Installing BSP under DOS and/or Windows

Using a laptop computer

You can NOT use a laptop computer for running multiple simulators.

You can use a laptop for running a single simulator ONLY if the
laptop has built legacy serial/parallel-ports.

Check if your laptop has these ports:

A parallell port has 25 'holes':

A serial port has 9 or 25 'pins':

Note 1: As you can not run several simulators at the same time
on a laptop computer, a laptop will only be useful for e.g. home
training or presentations.

Note 2: You will probably need a 9-to-25-pins-serial-port-adapter
as it is unlikely the built in port in the laptop is of the '25 pins' type.

Laptops with built in serial/parallel ports are not very common
and they may be expensive compared to consumer laptops.

One inexpensive laptop known to have these ports (2007) is the
'HP Compac nc6120'.
