Installing the simulator card (PCI card with 8 ports)
Note: The following information is valid only for PCI cards with
eight ports.

Windows only: In addition to the card you also need software drivers.
You have either received these drivers on a floppy disk or
a CD-rom delivered with the card, they can also be downloaded from
www.bailine.com/files).
Start by shutting down the computer, then install the card into
any available PCI slot.
Before you insert the card into the computer, you should remove
all power cables, and disconnect all other equipment connected to
the computer from the wall outlets, eg. the monitor and printer
etc.
The card may be destroyed by static electricity. Before you handle
the card, remove any statics by touching the metal of the computer
case. Never touch the electronic components on the card.
The PCI-card has no switches that have to be configured (PnP),
but you need to install the drivers, this is done by Windows. As
you turn on the computer after installing the card, you should receive
a message that a new 'PCI Serial Controll'er' has been detected
by Windows.
Insert the disk or CD with the drivers in to the computer, and
let Windows search for the drivers.
Windows will automatically install and setup the card. This will
take a few minutes as Windows installs all eight ports, but only
one at a time. All you have to do yourself is to press OK or Finish
as Windows prompts you.
Please note that the BSP program can not be run under all versions
of Windows when you use the PCI version of the PCI COM 8 card.
Also, you have to use a version 3.28 or newer of the BSP-program
(can be downloaded from www.bailine.com/files/programs). Older versions
will not work with the PCI card.
