First time program setup

The menu 'Bailine: Program setup' contains functions for configuring the program.

You will be reminded of this each time you start the program until the program has been properly configured.

Press [Alt+B] to open the 'Bailine' menu, and then select 'Program setup' to bring back the functions for configuring the program if you have closed the configuration window.

What you should check is

1 - Name, address & phone

Press '1' to open the menu. Enter the text you wish to be seen at the beginning of every client report print out, e.g.

Bailine Oslo, Akersgt. 65, 1234 Oslo
Tel 23 45 56 67, Opening hours: 9 am -7 pm Mon-Fri

Press [Enter] to save and close the window.

2 - Salon's course & prices

Press '2' to open the menu. Enter the course prices you'll be using in your salon.
Press [Enter] to save and close.

3 - Simulator setup

Press '3' to open the menu. You will see a list of simulator ports the program has detected. Only simulators with a detected port can be used.

You should mark the simulators you use as 'enabled'. The simulators you do not use should be marked as 'disabled'. To do this you press the number shown in front of each simulator.

Press [Enter] to save and close.

4 - Printer setup

Press '4' to open the menu. You will get a number of choices:
Press '1' to choose 'type of printer'. Most laser and ink-printers are HP-compatible.
Press '2' to choose 'character set'. Most printers use the IBM/PC character set.
Press '5' to choose if your printer uses separate or continuous paper.
Press '7' to choose 'titles only' if you want to save some paper avoiding printing out text your clients can find in the Bailine book.

Press [Enter] to save and close etc.

5 - Other

Press '5' and verify that 'date as' has been correctly set. Press [Enter] then [Esc] to exit.
