Simply Backup program (DOS script) for Bailine BSP This program copies client data from the Bailine BSP program to one or more floppy disks Bailine recommends that you use disks for backup. Using floppy disks are EASY, cheap and very compatible. You avoid a lot of potensial problems using other types of media may cause. You do not need this script If you choose to use CD-ROM or other media for backups. As never medias have a lot more capasity you suggest you then backup the directory C:\BAILINE in full. ******************************************************* BACKUP.ZIP contains all the files compressed. You can either download the ZIP and uncompress the contents onto å floppy disk, or you can download each file individually onto a disk. Copy all the files in this directory onto a blank disk, (Right click each file and select 'save to' etc= Label the disk PKZIP. To install the backup program (you only need to do this once!): Insert the disk label PKZIP into disk drive A: then at the C-prompt, type ... A:\INSTALL [Enter] Remove the PKZIP disk when you are back at the C-prompt. *** From now on you can do backups by inserting a blank disk into disk drive A: and typing (at the C-prompt): \BAILINE\BACKUP [Enter] Hit [Enter] to confirm that the disk will be erased. Remove the backup disk when you are back at the C-prompt. Check that you get the message 1 file(s) copied. *** Remember to label the BACKUP disk with the current date so you know which one to revert to if you need to restore clients from a backup. *** The FAQ and computer manual contains more information on how to do backups.
